CAD Designer - FILLED

Synopsis:

This is an ideal opportunity for a junior CAD Designer who is looking to gain more CAD experience or a seasoned CAD Designer who is looking to apply their skills to renewable energy foundations and civil modeling. In all cases, the positions can be the start of a distinguished career in the exciting renewable energy industry.

Location:

The primary workplace is in Thornton, Colorado. Candidates have the flexibility to work remotely, provided they can effectively coordinate with the MST/MDT time zone schedules. Occasional travel may be necessary for face-to-face client meetings or to conduct on-site visits as project demands dictate.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree, certification, or equivalent experience in drafting, civil technology, engineering technology, or a similar area of study.

  • Strong skills in Autodesk’s AutoCAD and Revit. Autodesk Civil 3D skills are also needed but not required at the start of position. Competence in GIS concepts and platforms is preferred.

  • Familiarity with or motivation to gain commanding competence in some or all of Autodesk’s AEC collection of integrated software packages is desired.

  • Attention to detail, quality, and safety.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.

  • A valid driver's license in good standing with a clean driving record.

  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve the key function in planning and producing civil engineering construction documents, mostly foundation drawings, for wind farms and solar parks.

  • Work as part of a collaborative team of civil engineers on projects across North America.

  • Use various resources to assess, plan and deliver projects.

  • Prepare planning and design documents in close collaboration with engineers.

  • Prepare foundation and structural design drawings showing geometry, reinforcement, and details.

  • Perform zoning and other feasibility assessments for development projects.

  • Write and review reports and technical specifications.

  • Remain current with the Firm's standards for CAD production and productivity tools.

Work Hours:
